John Sencio has hosted a wide variety
of television programs, anchored the news, starred in
a sitcom, directed a feature film, produced dozens of
powerful human interest stories, written 3 TV pilots,
performed in front of large crowds, and interviewed the
biggest names in entertainment. Thus far, the signature
of his media career is diversity.
After majoring in both Film & Television in college
John Sencio landed a 4-year deal on MTV.
It was here he interviewed over 300 hundred celebrities
ranging from Steve Martin and Halle Berry to John Travolta
and NY Mayor Rudolph Giuliani. He also covered numerous
live television events such as Woodstock
2, The Yankee’s World Series Parade, and New Year’s
Eve from Time’s Square. MTV also gave him the platform
to hone his knack for news reporting as well as sketch
comedy.
Following MTV John Sencio accepted 2 major studio development
deals one of which resulted in a sitcom TV series produced
by Castle Rock Entertainment.
Although not a smash hit, it did give him the experience
of major studio, network television.
After appearing in a few motion pictures, John Sencio
took time off to indulge his passion for writing, performing,
and producing his music.
His main focus however, was to return to his film school
roots. John wrote and starred in the TV pilot Be
Cool produced with Hieroglyphic
Productions. Then he wrote, directed
and starred in the feature length mockumentary Action
Weekend produced with publicist John
Pisani. Next, John developed the TV series Pop
Pizza with
the president of Precision
Productions.
Soon it was time to get back to work on TV. John Sencio
returned to higher profile projects when he hosted Fox
Studios MOVIE BUZZ
promotional DVD series.
4 million copies are in print.
In 2004/2005 John Sencio was seen 5 days a week hosting
the NBC produced, nationally syndicated, Talk/Reality
show HOME
DELIVERY. It was here he honed his
broadcasting skills even further covering dozens of powerful
human-interest stories.
A variety of specials soon followed including hosting
the international (London, India, USA), Sotheby's auction
from Planet Hollywood in New York City.
This
black-tie event was a live broadcast for VOOM
TV.
In 2006 John Sencio was the guest anchor on the nationally
syndicated morning news program THE
DAILY BUZZ.
Since 2005 John Sencio has enjoyed a strong relationship
with HGTV.
Along with many specials, John currently hosts their hit
lifestyle show
CASH IN THE ATTIC. He recently
completed his 65th episode in High Definition.
The new episodes premier soon.
John has appeared as a guest on the TONIGHT SHOW with
Jay Leno and LATE NIGHT with Conan O'brien.
